CPAP Compliance Tracking

Depending on a patient’s insurance coverage, it is necessary to prove compliance concerning the usage of the CPAP machine. Aeroflow Healthcare provides patients with all of the tools they need to comply with insurance and Medicare regulations. To cover CPAP equipment, insurance companies and Medicare require that within the first three months of treatment, CPAP patients adhere to a minimum of four hours per night of CPAP usage on 70% of nights during a 30-day period.

CPAP Tracking

CPAP machines will track have a modem or an SD card. If the machine has a modem, the compliance information is sent every day to the insurance company and the doctor. If the machine has an SD card, the patient will have to mail the SD card to Aeroflow. Aeroflow will download the data, create a report, and share with the patient, doctor, and insurance company.

Our compliance representative will review your data and submit it to your insurance plan for you. Medicare has a more strenuous CPAP compliance requirement. Our staff will work closely with you to help you meet these requirements. Medicare requires a usage rate of 70% over a 30 consecutive day timeframe within the first 90 days. After the 90 days, you must have a follow-up appointment with a doctor.

Aeroflow Healthcare will provide patients with CPAP machines with the necessary compliance tracking software needed to prove 70% usage, as well as consult with patients to answer any questions they may have during the initial treatment period.
