In this next installment of our ‘Creative’ series our focus is on creative ways to document baby’s first year. During this time there will be many firsts: first words, first steps, first tooth, and many more. It is important to capture these moments because before you know it they will be gone and many years down the road you will cherish these documented memories.
Creative Ways to Document Baby’s First Year
As we continue with our creative series and reference our favorite Pinterest boards, Baby Center, The Bump and mommy bloggers we are finding creative ways to document baby’s first year. I had the best of intentions of capturing every moment and milestone of my son’s first year. Now that he’s 7 I can say I didn’t do the best job. I do have a baby book filled with little pieces of paper, a locket and hair and maybe a small footprint but overall my attempt at documenting baby’s first year was an epic fail. Take your queues from these creative ways to document baby’s first year and don’t let that first year of memories fall into an unorganized baby book like I did.
Baby’s First Annual Report
Creating an annual report highlighting milestones of baby’s first year is a great way to document baby’s first year. I found examples of both flip books and small posters that noted baby’s favorite food, first words or sounds, first trips, etc.
Monthly Photo Op
A monthly photo of baby will allow you to document how quickly your little one has changed over the first year. It’s a good idea to dress your baby in something similar each time so the photos are easy to compare and you can see the changing features of your little one.
Making a quilt as a way to document baby’s first year is a great way to display all those favorite outfits, blankets, and special articles of clothing that baby has worn and outgrown over their first year.
These creative ways to document baby’s first year are great inspiration for how best to capture all of those special moments after birth. If you have a creative idea you would like to share please contact us at breastpumps.aeroflowinc.com
