Press Release – One-for-One Campaign:

Aeroflow Breastpumps & Human Milk Banking Association of North America

Asheville, NC November 12, 2014

Aeroflow Breastpumps is pleased to announce their latest endeavor in raising awareness for the benefits of breastfeeding, breastpumps, and breast milk. During the month of November, Aeroflow Breastpumps has partnered with the Human Milk Banking Association of North America to donate breast milk storage bags to the new Mother’s Milk Bank of Charleston, SC.

Opening in early 2015, the new Mother’s Milk Bank of Charleston will be South Carolina’s first human milk bank. This non-profit milk bank will adhere to the Human Milk Banking Association of North America (HMBANA) guidelines for providing pasteurized breast milk from carefully screened donors to fragile and sick infants.

Hundreds of premature babies are born in South Carolina annually and only those who are severely premature have access to donated human breast milk through a milk bank in Austin, Texas. Dr. Sarah Taylor, a Medical University Hospital neonatologist and the new director of the Mother’s Milk Bank of South Carolina, says, “The new milk bank in Charleston will not only reduce the price per ounce from about $5 to $4, but it will also guarantee that babies at Medical University Hospital and other hospitals in South Carolina will have an adequate breast milk supply.”

Starting next month, moms who are pre-screened through the milk bank can drop their surplus breast milk off at depots across the state. These generous milk donations will be shipped to Charleston where they will be processed, pasteurized, and then distributed to neonatal nurseries at several hospitals beginning in March 2015.

In an effort to help raise awareness for the new Mother’s Milk Bank of Charleston, Aeroflow Breastpumps will donate (1) Medela Pump and Save Breast Milk Storage Bag for every mom who qualifies through the Aeroflow site during the month of November. Together, Aeroflow Breastpumps and new/expectant moms can help feed babies in need.

New and expectant moms are able to qualify for their breastpump through insurance thanks to the Affordable Care Act. This health care reform requires insurance companies to provide breastfeeding support, services, and equipment to expectant and nursing women. By qualifying for a breastpump through insurance, moms will not only be providing their babies the best possible start in life, they will be contributing to saving a baby in need.

Aeroflow Breastpumps is dedicated to helping mothers help their babies. Their staff prides itself on having years of valuable experience in healthcare. Click here to qualify for a breastpump through insurance and for more information, visit or call (844)-867-9890.
